OLD SHANGHAI FASHION

"It's a bright, guilty world"
                                                                     - The Lady of Shanghai

Here's a glimpse of how Old Shanghai's fashion looks like in the 1930's. This was actually my company's dinner themed: One night in Shanghai. It was just a simple dinner with performances and lucky draws. If you look at all the photos below, I was all out on the dressing up to win the Best Dressed. I wore a purple traditional cheongsam, flower strapped heels, and gold earrings shaped of a Chinese fan. I even did my own hair with pins and a hair clip! I did not spend a single thing on the whole dress up trying to be creative. I was so close to winning Best Dressed instead I won 2nd Best Dressed. Oh well, I guess my colleague's Lady Gaga off-shoulder chains inspired top won me by 5 votes. But I don't mind, the price money for 1st and 2nd was the same amount RM100. Haha! I also took part in the performance competition, and won 3rd place (RM700) in performing a Dance with two of my colleagues. I did not get any lucky draws though. I guess I have bad luck on that. Haha. I really wanted the Grand Prize which was an Ipad Mini! Oh well, just my luck...

Overall, my company dinner was really fun and everyone enjoyed themselves.
