"I see my path, but I don't know where it leads. Not knowing where
I'm going is what inspires me to travel it"

It was a girls trip, just my girlfriends and I. Let me tell you about my experience there. Firstly, its a SHOPPING HAVEN. I went to Platinum Mall @Pratunam. It's a large garment mall with over lots of fashion stores. They sell garments both in retail and wholesale. I can just spend the whole day there! But of course, do manage your spending wisely. The most important travel tip when shopping is to BARGAIN for the prices. Tourists will tend to get ripped off if they don't bargain. There is a local thai food court right at the top floor of the mall. I tried their Fried Quill's Egg (bird eggs. Looks really cute.) and also my favourite thai food Som Tam (shredded unripen papaya salad). The other place I went was Chatuchak Weekend Market. The world's largest weekend market. When I say largest, it really is large! In order to even explore the whole place while shopping, it will cost you the whole day. Not only the whole day spent, it includes your energy too. Walking the whole day there, feeling hot and sweaty with super massive crowd is really tiring. All in all, you can buy lots of stuff there. From clothes to shoes, to furniture. There is food there too. I tried their coconut ice cream. So good and refreshing!
Of course, as Bangkok is part of Thailand, I had to eat their Swenson's Ice Cream as it is cheaper compared to my hometown Malaysia. You can find almost everywhere in malls. There was a mall I went called Terminal 21 @Sukhumvit Road. I love how they themed every floor of the mall. There is a different country themed on every floor, including their toilets.
Here are the examples according to theme of different countries:
For dinner, I ate at T&K Seafood @Chinatown Bangkok. It is right at the junction in Chinatown. The seafood is really fresh and good. What I liked was the Steamed Fish with Garlic Chilli Lime Juice Soup and the Boiled Squid in fish sauce, lime juice, chilli, and garlic. For nightlife, I went to Soi Cowboy. It is in the red-light district in Bangkok. The outlook of the area looks just like as what they named it. Western Cowboy. The whole stretch are bars. Cheap alcohol and they have "entertainment". They have showgirls who are dressed sexily and sometimes dressed even less or nothing at all. I guess the girls need to make a living and earn extra tips. In my opinion, Guys really need to respect the girls. I also went to Route 66 @RCA (Royal City Avenue). One of the famous clubs there. The crowd are mostly half local and half expats. Great atmosphere.
Now for TRAVEL SAFETY TIPS: DO NOT CARRY HANDBAGS! Please wear a SLING BAG and sling it in front of you. Why? There are many Pickpockets going around. They carry knifes around and will slit your bags open. They will secretly put their hands into the your bags and try to GRAB your WALLETS and your PASSPORTS (It is really a hassle if your passports are stolen). Ensure that your bags are really thick material, it makes it hard to be slit open with a knife. If you're carrying a backpack, strap it facing in front of you. If you strap it behind your back, Pickpockets can slit your backpacks from behind. This is based on a friend's experience who was with me during the trip. It happened so fast, a minute ago her bag was not slit then the next minute it was slit. But thank god, nothing was stolen. I think it was because the Pickpocket could not grab my friend's belongings in time. So please readers, be careful.
